My father-in-law went for an angioplasty yesterday. He was told he had three blockages in his heart that had to be cleared out; until then, he has to stop exercising because of the stress on his heart.

As it turned out, he actually has one large blockage that has completely closed off one of his aortas, causing new blood vessels to grow up and around it to make up for the lack of blood flow. So he has to go back in a few weeks to have open heart surgery.

Sorta puts things in perspective, don't it?

...Though I'm also sleeeeeepy...our neighbors apparently thought it would be a good idea to work on dog training in their back yard at midnight.

(hug)

We just need to try to convince him that even though his low-cholesterol diet (for 20 years now) didn't prevent this, that he shouldn't start eating chocolate ice cream for dinner every night!

anything messed up with the heart is scary! Make you realize that no matter how good you eat sh*t happens and it can be bad

Let us know how it goes

oh and just because a low-coletrol diet didn't prevent it totaly it doesn't mean it didn't at least slow it down!

as for dog traiing at midnight--call the cops. Unless you know them well enough to shout ~shut the (edited) up~ out the window at them

hope tonight is quieter!

Sure - will let you know!

As for the neighbor...we *just* bought this house. It's where my husband grew up, so they've been in this place for 20+ years. Which is the ONLY reason I've not started yelling curses out the window. :)

Oh well yeah maybe yelling curses out the window wouldn't be a good idea

no one has to know who called the cops as long as you have several other neighbors ;)

Hehehehe!

I actually saw one of these neighbors last night dragging one of the dogs across the street to the house..it was *really* tempting to yell,
"One: GET A LEASH!
Two: WE GO TO BED AT 11! GET THE HINT??"

(no..I was good...) :)
