..It's fun.
Touches on Frankenstein and Nosferatu. It's not as good as Blade - not as many pretty moments, not as comic book, IMHO.

But it's a good sequel.
Kicks Queen of the Damned's ass, for sure.

Some *very* pretty sword fighting scenes, for those of us who drool after such things.

Worth seeing!

...finally has a release date of October 7th on A&E.

Which is VERY VERY cool!!!

I'm a little nervous, tho. He's going to be famous, even if it's just for 5 or 10 minutes. The last time he was on the news - just the news, just the press conference crap from last June - he had ladies coming into the museum for his autograph, flirting like mad.

I'm not a gorgeous lady. And I'm insecure.

The Egypt fossils have to all be boxed up and ready to be mailed by this Friday. No word on who's traveling with the fossils. After this week's crap in Pakistan, I'm scared that Jason could be going over there anywhere *close* to all of it...but it would make sense for him to go, because he knows the fossils best and would be the best person to help get them on display in Cairo.

I know *this* one is a rational fear.
But I will NOT tell him not to go.
Not that anyone has asked him yet.

I went along with him today to an interview-ish kind of thing. Apparently A&E made a lot of changes to the documentary, and MPH is now trying to put the heart back into the story. One way they've come up with is to have the 5 scientists do parts of the narration themselves that previously were being done by the main narrator. So we got to the hotel where the taping was to happen around 3, but the Hollywood People were late (they're also in town to film a special on Islam). We got lunch while we waited (which Hollywood paid for - yay!); the actual taping didn't take long at all.
It was my first time actually meeting most of these people Ferret's worked with for 2 years now, so I'm glad I went.

But it did kinda kill the day. And since I couldn't sleep last night, I ended up taking a very long nap.
..And now it's 2AM and I'm awake.
*siiiigh*

I got my first "your site was too busy" message today.

And apparently it's due to LJ users checking out my home page!

Not that it was very many, mind you..I actually have no idea why having 3 or 4 hits (from what I can tell) was considered too much bandwidth use, so I'm trying to figure that out.

(woohoo?)

Strange kind of day. Z came in with a kidlet he was babysitting - this was the first time Ferret didn't totally freak out on me. (woohoo!) But Ferret's also been grumpy as HELL the past few days, and snoring like a fiend, so I've been on the sofa the last few nights. (*sigh*)

Working with the critters was only marginally satisfying. Osiris attacked me again and this time grabbed my wrist in his mouth! He didn't put any pressure down - he mouthed me,he didn't bite me - but it was still scary. :/

I'm very very tired. And I have a suddenly-urgent deadline for this Castle Dracula article...dammit. I need to make Leonard give me concrete deadlines from now on so I can stop being blindsided by "I need it now!" emails.

I'm in a weird headspace..probably because I'm tired.
And then one of my Grisly crew members wrote a weird message to the group about some new project he wants to work on and we should email him privately because it's not something we should clutter up the newsgroup with. HUH? I see more games happening, and I'm so not in the mood.
