Ferret's dino project
Mar. 24th, 2002 01:43 am...finally has a release date of October 7th on A&E.
Which is VERY VERY cool!!!
I'm a little nervous, tho. He's going to be famous, even if it's just for 5 or 10 minutes. The last time he was on the news - just the news, just the press conference crap from last June - he had ladies coming into the museum for his autograph, flirting like mad.
I'm not a gorgeous lady. And I'm insecure.
The Egypt fossils have to all be boxed up and ready to be mailed by this Friday. No word on who's traveling with the fossils. After this week's crap in Pakistan, I'm scared that Jason could be going over there anywhere *close* to all of it...but it would make sense for him to go, because he knows the fossils best and would be the best person to help get them on display in Cairo.
I know *this* one is a rational fear.
But I will NOT tell him not to go.
Not that anyone has asked him yet.
I went along with him today to an interview-ish kind of thing. Apparently A&E made a lot of changes to the documentary, and MPH is now trying to put the heart back into the story. One way they've come up with is to have the 5 scientists do parts of the narration themselves that previously were being done by the main narrator. So we got to the hotel where the taping was to happen around 3, but the Hollywood People were late (they're also in town to film a special on Islam). We got lunch while we waited (which Hollywood paid for - yay!); the actual taping didn't take long at all.
It was my first time actually meeting most of these people Ferret's worked with for 2 years now, so I'm glad I went.
But it did kinda kill the day. And since I couldn't sleep last night, I ended up taking a very long nap.
..And now it's 2AM and I'm awake.
*siiiigh*
