Weekend summary

elionwyrSat: Slept a lot. Went out to buy a Christmas tree with my father-in-law.
What I liked: an adorable little fir tree with a real-wood bark trunk and sparse
branches (it just looked so REAL)
What he liked: a 7' fiber optic tree
So that's what we got - mostly because he got so excited about it. My husband calls it a "rave tree". The only real problem is that you can't see any ornaments on it once the lights are out. But it's cute.
We also worked on our Christmas card!!

Sunday: Worked in the live animal center. Osiris the caracal seems to be bonding to me more and more. Yesterday, he snuggled up into my lap, washed my hair and neck, and dozed off in my arms for about 20 minutes! He didn't want me to get up; when I finally got insistent and did so, he hissed and growled. :/ So I brought him a turkey vulture feather to play with a little later - and he was happier.
At dinner time, I again sat in his cage to see what he'd do. He purred, rubbed against me, grabbed a mouse and ate it while sitting between my legs! (ack) The next one, he actually put on my right thigh and ate the mouse off of me. (ack)
After that, I left. He basically ignored the fact, happily eating just out of the bowl.
I think it's a good sign...but there's a little bit of an ew factor. :)
We then spent the night watching Indiana Jones movies..and I dozed off.
Now I'm at work (yahoo!) and feeling sick..*again*. This is getting boring. I go to the doctor Wednesday..it's not really soon enough. *blech*

if I could give you the leftover from my antibiotic threw the computer I would because it sounds liek you have a bug similar to what I had

Date: 2001-12-17 09:34 am (UTC)Here's hoping it's a short-lived bug! I am OUT of sick days, and will have to miss some really good free food (otherwise known as the Office Xmas Party) just to go see the dang doctor on Wednesday..*sigh*
(On the positive side: I'm going to have her fill out some paperwork for me to get my driver's permit, as well as hopefully a referral to someone to look at my foot - I dropped a wall on it years ago, and I think that at the very least I'm getting arthritis...*ew*)

Ugh at least it's the end of the year adn then you get NEW sick days etc...

I don't recommend the experience. It hurts like a son of a b****.
My doctor insisted at the time I'd just bruised it...but it was swollen and discolored for months, and now it clicks when I walk. Yummy! hehehehe
