A data supplier's tape is late...for the first time *ever*.
It's one I'm responsible for getting here on time.
I have been in touch with my supplier since **APRIL 2ND**, trying to make sure it would be here by the 18th.
A contract between our company and his needed to be signed.
This was the month.
Our contact has been out of the office nearly all month.
Bigwigs had to work out the contract.
After much emailing and phone calls and far too many people getting involved - including our legal department - my tape got shipped on the 17th...and got mis-sorted by FedEx.
So it's late.
I got an email from New Boss, saying I'd done a good job but that in the future I should contact my supplier earlier in the month.
Ummmmmm...huh?
So I emailed my contact (who's in Tennessee)...
Me:On the aggravating side, I just got an email suggesting that in the future, I contact you sooner to avoid this sort of problem happening again.
So I'm going to ask you NOW about April's tape, okay?

Bill:my goodness, if we stayed in closer contact about this stuff, we'd have to
share an office....LOL...hummm, now that's a thought...how's the weather there this time of year?
*siiigh*
I just wanna send Bill flowers or something..
