new craft project...*wince*

elionwyrTo top off my cranky mood, I agreed to work on some craft kits for a friend - in exchange for this kind of thing (this + the mailing list + some other cross stitching I promised to do), I may get a free ride and room to the Convergence in June. (We're still working on that.)
I got the kits when I got the stuff I needed to type up for this mailing list. And..mon dieu..they are *so* tacky. It's kiddie project plastic canvas stuff, cut into Halloween shapes - I'm working on the ghosts now - that you overstitch with yarn.
ehhhhh....
I basically threw the directions aside and started to do what looked right to me, and it's working. (The directions said to use long sloppy stitches; instead, I'm basically doing cross stitch half stitches.)
They'll be cute. And I want to have them included with these business cards and ilk when I return them.
Still. I'm grumpy. Therefore, I hate them.
