horrible Thursday

elionwyrI haven't wanted to just burst into tears at work in a long time.
Yesterday broke the trend.
Just too much busy work - too much needless, frustrating work.
I completely missed a deadline, mostly because the work connected to doing the task was the frustrating crap I just mentioned.
Then I found out I had totally missed that a certain hospital hasn't reported data since January. I absolutely shouldn't have missed it - I have no good excuse - I basically said to NewBoss, "I screwed up - I was sloppy." Then I told him that I really do have too much work on my plate. But really, there's no one who can take it...I know that. Everyone's swamped; last month's layoffs are really hurting us.
I am amazingly discouraged.
