Job thoughts
Dec. 7th, 2001 12:39 pmI've been mulling this over all week..
If my sweetie makes his job change, I could in theory make a leap into the career I've been dreaming about for years: full-time animal keeper. The timing would be perfect - as he would be moving into his new job, a job would be opening up at the museum.
But I know that this job is a 2 year job (more or less) before you burn out. I've been in my current job for 13 years; the idea of such a short time scares me. And the money drop scares me.
Of course, I'd be working for what should be an AZA certified institution in a year or so - which would be great for my resume.
I really want to try. I'm scared, but..here's hoping. I sent an email to the person who'd be doing the hiring, asking her (since I already work for her part-time) what she felt I'd need to do to become a good candidate for the job. No answer yet..augh)...
