Evidently, the new LJ setup has a weird loophole that enables your locked entries to be found via a search if you have not opted your journal out of searches. And chances are, you have not.

The entry above details how to fix this in your journal, and I'm including the instructions here as well.

-From the navigation strip, click on Account
-Select "Viewing Options", under Site
-Scroll down past Viewing Options to Additional Privacy Options
-Make sure Search Inclusion IS CHECKED
-Make sure Explore Area Exclusion IS CHECKED

I just checked mine, and while I did have "Search Inclusion" checked, I did not have "Explore Area Exclusion" checked. So yeah, this looks like a rather large case of everyone having their unmentionables hanging out a bit at the moment.

Could it be that you see your own entries because YOU are logged in and have access to see them? I remember freaking out when I first saw my RSS feed, including all these private entries, and that turned out to be why.

FYI, the instructions listed here do not apply if you're beta testing LJ's new account management page.

The Search Inclusion check box is available to check or uncheck if you look under the 'Privacy' tab, but I could not find the Explore Area Exclusion option without turning off Beta testing.

Not sure if any of that matters to anyone, but I thought I'd put it out there.
