bizarre dreams
Feb. 7th, 2002 04:08 pmA few nights ago, I had this dream that I had things in my ears. My beloved told me to move my jaws around - back and forth - to make them move out. It turned out I had breaded crickets in my ears - 8 in my left, 4 in my right.
I was completely weirded out. He was pretty much indifferent.
~~
Ok. Very strange. My initial interpretations:
1. I grind my teeth in my sleep - both my dentist and my dreams tell me this.
2. I do see crickets as food items; I feed them out a lot to various critters.
3. When I was very young, I had a lot of ear infections which led to having tubes placed in my ears. I have a clear, if disturbing, memory of feeling one of the wires one day and panicking; my mother told me it was ok, that it was the tubes starting to work their way out. I don't remember anything else.
4. I do have a lot of wax in my ears.
5. Maybe the phrase "You've got a bug in your ear" got caught in my subconscious..?
I haven't looked up the numbers yet.
I assume that at least 1-4 are the reasons for the dreams. But my gawd, it was gross.
