It'll do. I can goth it up pretty easily, and it's gentlest on my wallet.
Next step: play with makeup and see what works for me.
This probably sounds silly, since I work in a haunted house. But working under strobes and blue gels is very forgiving to bad makeup jobs - and you want to be a little(?) more dramatic under those lights. So I think I've posted some pics of examples of what I usually do - white, black accents on cheekbones, yellow around the eyes to make them look sunken..it's a pretty unnerving look, I think.
But it doesn't work under normal lighting.
I usually just tease and backcomb my hair until it's an amazing mess - the kind of mess where people say, "Is that *really* your hair?" (undertone: "Why would you do that to yourself??") But..I'm not much of a girl. It's easier to hide makeup than to learn how to do it right.
So. Next goal: practice with the makeup.
And send my corset back to Karen so she can fix it.
