So I was asked to find out why the following is high:
Market:
Pressure Monitoring Products
History (total spent on these products):
Dec: $192,621
Nov: $91,739
Oct: $160,270
Sep: $164,779
Aug: $125,854
My initial argument: NOVEMBER is the odd number in this series, *not* December.
Second argument: This is a very general question covering a WHOLE lot of purchases. Give me a specific question, and I'll get you an answer.
Third argument: It's a teaching hospital. They go thru a lot of stethoscopes.
Fourth argument: It's the main hospital in a chain of 9. The others send procedures to this main flagship hospital all the time; they do a monster business there.
Answer back to all my arguments: Look again.
AAAAUGH!!!
And to add insult to injury, they *still* wanted to delete all of these purchases from our data. WTF?? I basically had to repeat arguments 1, 3, and 4 at them repeatedly until they agreed that I was probably right.
Sigh.
I'm so glad I'm off for a few days.
Well..sorta off.
Training all day Friday (mmm, all day with techies...yahoooo!!!) and then Monday for a doctor's appointment and to get a photo ID. (Yes, both are silly reasons to take off a full day of work *but* because I don't drive, the logistics of getting to work at a reasonable time after my doctor's appointment are just a nightmare.)
