(Though you should really read http://www.fanfiction.net/read.php?storyid=470628 - 'Ghosts' first, to understand what's going on in 'UG'.

I'm not generally a follower of fan fic. Reive is converting me. :)

"I'm haunted
By the hallways in this tiny room
The echos there of me and you
The voices that are carrying this tune.."

Sigh. I'm torn between wanting more of the story, and starting to dread the ending..

Well, I should manage to get another chapter or two up from Pittsburgh tonight -- I really don't want to leave it hanging in its current plot condition, too little equalibrium.

So glad you're enjoying -- I wish I could get more people to check it out -- they see OC and they go "eek, 100 chapters of Mary Sue", which is so not going on there.

That's a shame.

I really do think it's very good writing..and I'm so glad I took the time to go back and figure out how to read "Ghosts". (I had missed your post explaining where it was, originally.)

So..thank you. :)

What's funny, is as heavy as parts of Ghosts is, when I tell people about the series now I'm like "oh, Ghosts is some romantic fluff which you need to read to appreciate UG." I never thought UG was going to get as heavy as it has, even with the planned character death, only because I hadn't really anticipated getting so deep into their heads (also the letters were never a planned thing, they just came, and that was definitely what tipped it over into perpetual quiet sadness), and I don't think I realized when I started writing it to what degree their relationship is something that comes out of various senses of isolation. It's very claustrophobic.

I might add, that if I could think even half this cogently and work with half this much discipline about any of my purely original work, I'd have an Oprah book club book out by now.

And as ever, "no, no, Thank you." I may be a cat person, but I live for praise just as much as I live for knocking shit over.
