adjusting to Home

There is exactly one phone jack in the apartment, and that resides in the kitchen.

So I have decided to live with just the laptop for now, and check out the Intarwebz from the kitchen table.

So Hades is all like, "Hai! I kan has kompuuter naow!"

So the soundtrack to posts such as this goes like:

"Yur hand iz pillow!"

"No!"

"YUR HAND IZ PILLOW PURR PURR PURR!"

"DAMMIT WHY AM I TYPING IN ALL CAPS?"

"I iz in kontrol!1!1! PURRPURRPURRPURR"
*stretches, hits touch pad mouse, zooms pointer across the screen*
*rolls over, hits capslock again as skulltyping commences*

LQWERASDG ASFGADTAN BDAGDSFA

"Auuuuuuugh! Dammit dammit dammit!"

"All yur intarwebs are belong to ME! Iz it kan it be hugz tiem naow?"

*sigh*

get a two or three-pher jack and yards of phone cable. much cheapness, and any of our geek friends should have this stuff in a box somewhere. really.

Ahh, but that's not the lazy girl's answer! *laughs at self* I have the supplies to move this all into the living room..it's just easier not to.

Get DSL quality phone cable (the round wire, not the flat stuff)
and jacks... use tough transparent wide boxing tape over it for
floor runs to avoid tripping and cat damage.

Or you can buy a two foot wide transparent hard plastic screw together
ball with airholes in it and put Hades in it when you're typing ;p

Of course the noise from the cat rolling the ball all over the floor
might be a bit distracting ;)
