Made it through the next...five episodes of season 2 tonight.
LOVE LOVE LOVE "Tooth and Claw", "School Reunion", and "Girl in the Fireplace".
Gads, I forgot how much I love Sarah Jane. And I love the way Doctor 10 interacts with her. And of course all of the competitiveness between her and Rose, which sorta bleeds over into "Girl".
I don't have anything non-fangirly to say about these three. I just absolutely love love love them.
(I have never been a fan of the Cybermen - I don't really understand why the series needs two of the same sort of enemy, and Daleks are more interesting to me than Cybermen - and so my praise ends there.)

Date: 2008-01-25 12:02 am (UTC)Sarah Jane just looks so gorgeous even now. Her interaction with the Doctor was great, as was the competition and then bonding with Rose. Mostly though, it was the way they used it to show the Doctor's vulnerable side - why he can't keep his companions for ever. Loved the scene with ASH in the swimming pool. He does the oily menace so well.
Loved the clockwork automatons - I want one as a room ornament :) Again, very creepy by virtue of having near-human faces, but with no expression.
