World Book Night US: April 23, 2013

elionwyrA friend on The Book of Face shared a link about this event today, and I'm thoroughly ashamed I'd never heard of it before!
The idea is pretty simple:
1) Go visit http://www.us.worldbooknight.org. (This is the US link; you can find information about participating in the UK, Ireland, or Germany under "About Us.")
2) Make with the clickity to see what the program is all about, which books are being offered this year, and what WBN asks of its givers.
3) Decide hell YEAH this is awesome and apply to be a giver. You'll need to select three of their proffered books - you only get one title, but they ask for options in case your first book isn't available - and figure out if you know of a non-retail place where you can give away 20 books.
4) Wait to see if they choose you to be a giver. (They choose depending on geography, giveaway locations, and book availability.)
Deadline for sign-up is January 25th.
