It looks like it's not possible - you can maybe prevent them from commenting, but not from adding you to their f'list.

Oh poop..right, I forgot. I'm all a-twitter over here. Actually, Moonlight Path is more current than the stuff I was talking about, though I've had some of that and liked it. This was in the aromatherapy line.

Less than I used to be, but enough that I'm eyeing this year's Pumpkin Latte (with an eye toward wearing it when not around Scott, since he hates coffee). I'm DEFINITELY looking at the BPAL-scented Halloween soaps though, because they once sent me a Shub-Niggurath soap bar and it was bloody amazing, and there's some kind of pumpkiny soap they have right now. I'm not letting myself look seriously yet, though, since we're not sure that the tax return will be accepted...if it's not, I'll need to lock down on spending for a bit.
I'll get to that..um..after this weekend? (I am finding some fabulous ways to delay cleaning and packing for the weekend, but yipes it's nearly 11PM...if I could just get paid for procrastination I'd be a very wealthy squirrel.)

I'm pretty sure that the design of LJ doesn't let you block anyone from friending you. However friending someone doesn't let them see anything you haven't made public unless you friend them back. It is more like twitter of google plus following than it is facebook friending. Although friending someone on LJ lets them see more of what you post if they care to look.
Oh yeah, I've used this system a ridiculously long time - totally get that. :) With the updates, I don't always know what's new, and I just want to make sure I didn't hit the wrong button somewhere. Thankee!
