Oi, Philly-ish peeps! Are you looking for a dog?

A good friend has a pitbull mix that is in desperate need of a home.

The vet thinks she's about 2 years old, maybe younger but definitely not older. Princess Buttercup weighs in at a petite 43lbs and stands around 2 feet tall at the shoulders, maybe a little less. She walks great on a leash, knows the commands "sit" and "shake", is totally housebroken, rides in a car like she was born for it, doesn't chew or destroy things, and mostly just wants to curl up next to you and snuggle. She also won't go on furniture unless you invite her.

Best of all: she doesn't bark, jump, run around like crazy or act up at all. She's totally chill and mellow and calm. You seriously couldn't find a better behaved, more gentle dog anywhere!

I know she's a pitbull mix of SOME kind, but I don't know what exactly. Meg and I think it's beagle. Once we washed her we found a lovely brown coat with blonde highlights through it, and also discovered she's super-duper soft!! I mean she's REALLY soft!! You won't believe it!

She's not spayed yet, but that's being taken care of.

Looks like she's good with other dogs.

That sounds like the perfect kind of dog for me. But I don't live anywhere /near/ Philly.

She can try talking with the folks over at the Animal Coalition of Delaware County. I don't know if they take in dogs, but might be able to make suggestions on reputable places that could foster him if your friends can't find a home for her right away.
