celphone help
Jun. 13th, 2010 02:56 pmSo I have a Motorola Rokr L7 that has been a pretty sturdy lil' machine.
Yesterday it started dropping calls - either I call out and I can't hear the person answer, or a minute or so into the conversation, we both stop being able to hear each other.
Definitely my phone.
I tried resetting the sim card and powering the phone down.
I'm gonna see if I still have a backup Razr sitting around here somewhere, but in the meantime..does anyone have suggestions on what else I can try? I have serious doubts AT&T supports this phone anymore.
Also, outside of going to a store and buying a new phone (which is not in my budget), how does one go about buying a refurbished phone? Is it as easy as going to eBay and looking for an AT&T compatible phone? What should I watch out for? Halp!
ETA: Texting works fine.
ETA Also: Am using my back up Razr but its issue is that it likes to randomly reboot and not be able to find the sim card. So I'm anticipating spotty phone use until I get a replacement.

Date: 2010-06-13 08:27 pm (UTC)I have some old cell phones that take sim cards but I don't know what kind. If you know how to tell, let me know I'd be glad to ship them off to you.
