Hey,
cussingeorge..
Sep. 22nd, 2009 05:00 pm..the movie I was trying to think of is "Maniac".
Circa 1934, it's by Dwain Esper of Reefer Madness, and is hands-down one of the oddest horror films I've ever seen. Very memorable for its pauses to allow text to scroll over the screen, blithely educating the audience about paranoia and mania. Mad scientist dies; mad assistant assumes his role and attempts to reanimate the dead. And the hijinks only get worse from there.
I both want to encourage y'all to see it and..well...to not.

Date: 2009-09-23 07:38 pm (UTC)There's a really brief but disturbing end to that character's screen time - he kidnaps a reanimated corpse (lovely young lady), runs off with her across the hillside, and the last time you see them he's gotten her mostly naked and is throttling her. Annnnd no other reference to them.
The movie is simply f'ed up.
