LJ is offering paid members the opportunity to place Google ads on their blog page - details here.
Completely optional; will not be viewable if you read via your friends page; gives you the opportunity to generate a bit of income off your blog.
As a writer who very much likes the idea of being paid for writing, I like this idea. A lot.
