Yes indeedy, the Thinkpad 600 that briansiano gave to me has finally refused to boot up.

The poor thing's been wanting to go to that great robot heaven in the sky for quite some time, but did manage to give me more years of service than I had any possible excuse to expect or ask.

When other, newer computers would fall prey to viruses? The slow-as-hell battery-dead Thinkpad kept on working. Oh, sure, it might take 20 tries to get it to boot, but eventually it would allow me access to the outside world.

Thinkpad 600, I salute you, and will always be grateful to you, you brave little toaster.
