Greetings from Houston!

I have been safely nestled in the home of shadowwolf13 and apisanthrop as they prepare for their rapidly approaching wedding!

We've hit bookstores like whoa (because Half Price Books has a 20% off sale this weekend); shadowwolf13 has demonstrated her rather remarkable cooking prowess; apisanthrop has attempted to massage my back into submission; Nox (the household not-a-dog) has decided I'm good enough for sniffing and lap-visiting.

Is good!

Part of today's adventure was discovering that Lucia's Garden is open and incredibly charming! I was much too amused to find that, just down the street, there was a meditation center of some sort with a picture of Christ in the window...oh, wait, no, that's Saint-Germain.

(Which I realize is only really funny to me, but it totally proves my theory that the reason people 'worship' Saint-Germain is that the popularized image of him in the new age community looks like the popularized image of Christ. And both images are..less than accurate.)

Unlike my trip to Pi-Con, I *will* be able to fit my books into my luggage. Yay! And..some really nifty scores. Not quite as good as what I found with octoberland and hughcasey in CT, but..I'm rather pleased.

Also? Incredibly incredibly exhausted still.
