Ferret is a bad influence
Mar. 20th, 2002 09:32 amWe went to a diner last night, and had a teenage waitress who looked like she was sleepwalking. Which meant just terrible service for us, with no attempt at an apology.
So Ferret messed with her, asking for stuff we didn't need.
"Could we get some A-1?" (she brought it) "Sorry to bother you - hot sauce?" (she brought it) ("I forgot - could I have some ketchup?" (she brought it)
Me: "Umm..honey, could you try to get something I actually *want* - another soda?"
Well. THAT she wouldn't bring. Another waitress (cheerfully) got that.
We did talk to the hostess as we left - but even that was him being evil; he said later, "If you're going to complain about the staff, be cheerful and nice about it - that way, their boss knows the problem is NOT with the customer!"
Whuf.
So this morning, I get on the crowded train and have to ask someone to move his bag so I can sit. Said fellow was taking up three seats, so it wasn't as if I was crowding him - but *such* attitude..! As soon as I got up to leave, he grumbled and moved his bag back across where I had been sitting...and I have to confess I really wanted to mess with him, but couldn't think of a good way to do so.
Which is probably a good thing.
But I still blame Ferret for being a bad influence.
