Explanation for today's phone calls

Ummm..it was wicked hot at the greenhouse.

So if you received a message today about the vampire apocalypse and calling zombies undead Alzheimer's patients..umm...it was REALLY REALLY HOT today and I was alone for nearly the entire day.

However? I have awesome friends.

Convo snippet:

*ring* *ring*
Hugh: Hello?
Me: WHY ARE YOU AT HOME? You should be outside!
Hugh: I was outside. And as soon as I went out, it started raining. When I came home, the sun came back out.
Me: Oh. Well, it's the vampires, you know. It's a plot. ARE YOU READY FOR THE VAMPIRE APOCALYPSE??
Hugh: I think so, yeah.
Me: *pause* ...Really?
Hugh: Yeah, I have enough wooden things here that I could make into stakes. I think I'm good.

This?
THIS is why it's not just Hugh, it's THE Hugh, thankyouVERYmuch.



(Ok, so I just made the last bit up. But really, he's friggin' awesome.)

Making me more relieved Buffy: Season 8 is getting published (by Dark Horse! Portland-area comics companies represennnnnnnnnnt!).

Plus I'm sure Elvis is still around fighting them. Who built the pyramids? Elvis! Who built Stonehedge? Elvis!
