My mother, Maura and I sat at Penn's Landing for an incredibly hot humid day of free music.
Sarah McLachlan, October Project, and Sonia Dada are the bands I remember most clearly..leaning over to Maura during a performance of this song, I think, as one of the singers did a fabulous backflip, and saying, straight-faced, "I'll bet he's awesome in bed," just to see the disapproving look she was sure to give me as a response..
Good times.
And oh oh, dragging friends like Sagie to see the Boxing Gandhis at the Middle East..

Problem was, I had already purchased really good seats for Contrary and me, so I gave the stage passes to two teen-ish girls that had really crappy seats in the back, and then all four of us were allowed to meet the band afterwards. Which was pretty damn funny, because the kids ran off first, and I was somewhere behind Contrary, and then I hear someone ask, "Ok, so who actually won the tickets?" and Contrary started yelilng for me to get my butt up there.
(I'm such a Gemini. "Don't notice meeeeeeeee..")
(They're very sweet people.)
