*grrrrowl*
Jan. 16th, 2002 09:43 amMust be a morning thing with me.
I thought I had a doctor's appointment today for an ultrasound.
I checked out my receipt from December that had the appointment. It said "Tues Jan 18th".
Ummm...huh?
So I call to confirm.
After being on hold for 5 or 10 minutes, I'm told, "You missed your appointment. It was on the 5th. And it was for a full pelvic exam."
HUH?
Long story short, it's now rescheduled for FEBRUARY.
They should really rename the healthcare industry "wait for friggin'-ever industry".

Date: 2002-01-16 08:50 am (UTC)She absolutely is a big believer in people complaining and raising holy hell about bad health care. Otherwise, she says, doctors will continue to abuse their patients.
Which makes me feel better about being less than satisfied.
Re: Really!!
Date: 2002-01-16 11:42 am (UTC)In order to get new orthodics (those things that goes in your shoes, mine have to be custom made) I had to have a new diagnosis. I fought forever because orthodics are not perement. They wear out and mine had.
I eneded up haveing my dr write one of my other dignosis down adn got the new orthodics but I still raise unholy hell abou that to them. The place I get them made it said next time to inform them and they will help fight my insruace about the fact that these are not perment and need to be replaced when they wear out (or if a person gains/looses alot of weight, has more problems, etc...)
which is ncie to know
hopefully by then I will have differnety insurance so I won't have to fight them on it
umm hello would you rather buy my new orthodiucs or eat a LOT of extra dr visits?
My doctors are great (but I know there are those who SUCK) but I HATE my darn insuracen they are SOB about covering things sometimes!
