Resolutions?
Jan. 2nd, 2002 08:31 amI'm very very bad about resolutions.
I really don't seem to believe in them.
Not that I think they're bad or anything..I've just never been the kind of person to get very excited about making them.
I do, however, find that I'm a little superstitious (for lack of a better word) about how I bring in the new year. I want to be with people that I love; I want to spend the first day, at least, doing things that I enjoy with said people that I love.
This year, I managed to do that with very little effort. :) Our friends Ken and Maura (not a couple) who came over for New Year's Eve ended up crashing over...we watched movies until 1, told stories while sharing a horrible Hickory Farms gift thing (mmm...beef log...) until 3, then all went to sleep. In the morning, we had a diner breakfast, then ran out to see LotR (M & K hadn't seen it yet), went window shopping, and finally ended up at Houlian's for dinner (Outback was way too packed).
Not an exciting day; but a good one.
May the rest of 2002 be as pleasant. :)
