Mostly in an attempt to prove a point at work, I put in an 11-1/2 hour day yesterday.

(Ok, I was also bribed by a ride from a coworker who was putting in a 12 hour day..)

So on one hand, I can heartily stick my tongue out at my boss's boss for yesterday's hard time. On the other hand...I want a nap! :(

You know what? I've known you for so many years and yet...I don't know what it is you exactly do there at work. Obviously, if it's sit there and look cute, you're getting underpaid :-)

Well..currently, I'm a Data Quality Analyst.

Meaning:
- I call a bunch of hospitals, mostly in central US, to remind them to send in their purchase records from the previous month. I make sure they send in the correct data. I then look at a ton of reports based on that data to see if everything looks normal - example: if they've suddenly spent $5 million on gloves in one day, there's something wrong. So I figure out what's wrong. Then we process the data and do lots of projections and reports and price analysis on what hospitals across the country are buying and using. And in the process of doing that, I get to play with the data a lot...basically lots and lots of paperwork and busy work.

THEN we get to analyze the data AGAIN at the end of the month to check again for any typos or other weird errors in the data!

Then we do the whole thing over again! 8)

Wow...I hate to say it, but that sounds worse than what *I* do!

It's definitely a far cry from anything artistic, that's for sure...
