BUT..January approaches. WOOHOO!!
Fun updates:
My husband's dino is back in the news..
* Really bad article in Outside magazine Jan 2002(fortunately, he's not in it).
* Pretty good article in Discover magazine Jan 2002 - http://www.discover.com/jan_02/gthere.html?article=paleontology.html (page down to the write-up on "A Giant Among Dinosaurs" (again, Jason's not mentioned)
* Funny little bit in the Philly Inquirer this past week - this time, Jason's solely responsible..hehehehe..

A no-nonsense dinosaur
An e-mail sent to Academy of Natural Sciences staff, from Academy dinosaur expert Jason C. Poole, who is part of the Philadelphia-based team that in June discovered the dinosaur Paralititan stromeri:
"Subject: Nylons
Hello all,
This may sound strange, but the Dinosaur Hall Fossil Prep Lab needs panty hose. . . . We are now in the process of casting the humerus of our gigantic Paralatitan dinosaur. The nylons will be used to add strength to the rubber mold. What we are asking for is old nylon panty hose that you will not want back. Please do not donate fishnet or lace-designed stockings. I know they look good . . . but they do nothing for dinosaurs. Guys bringing nylons will not be questioned in any way. If you want to donate, please drop stockings off at the Prep Lab located at the back of Dinosaur Hall. There will be a box for them."

I've given both panty hose and thigh highs to the dino cause..as long as there's no back seam, they're fine. (We have to cut out the seams, otherwise.)
I think I'm going to have to bug hubby to draw up a dino with thigh highs on..hehehehe!
