* My addiction to pajamas, pirates, and hair conditioners has resulted today in the purchase of pirate boxers, pirate pjs, and two more bottles of conditioner...none of which I actually needed. Sigh. (Happy sigh, but still..sigh.)

* Having so many of you being at Wicked Faire means my internet stream is all but at a standstill. This makes me a very sad squirrel.

* I convinced [livejournal.com profile] elfowls_nest to leave the house in search of sushi. We wandered to the local Border's, which is closing. ZOMG, the lines. Didn't find the books I really wanted - was good and did not indulge in much beyond a copy of Faery Tale: One Woman's Search for Enchantment in a Modern World, which looks verrry interesting.

* Slept. Slept lovely restful sleep. Which means I'm not wanting to crawl into bed just yet (for a change).

* Stomach better today.

* Random Rilke:
"Love consists in this, that two solitudes protect and touch and greet each other."

I really want this book..

Heaven's Bride: The Unprintable Life of Ida C Craddock, American Mystic, Scholar, Sexologist, Martyr, and Madwoman by Leigh Eric Schmidt.

http://www.npr.org/2010/12/11/131878498/a-wanton-woman-the-life-of-ida-c-craddock

This is the bit that caught my attention:

In the 1890s, Craddock scandalized many of her contemporaries by defending belly dancing as a "much needed blend of sexuality and spirituality," rather than the "horrible orgy" many thought it to be.

..But there's so much more to this woman. And why the hell don't we know her name?
