PUMPKIN PUMPKIN PUMPKIN!

Ok, so. octoberland posted a recipe for Pumpkin and Cream Cheese Muffins that looks amazing, and it inspired me, yes indeedy it did.

What's your favourite pumpkin recipe - or Halloween-y recipe in general?

Here's mine, stolen unashamedly from my friend Heather:

Pumpkin Dip in Pumpkin

Ingredients:
1 can (16 oz size) pumpkin
1 package (8 oz size) cream cheese
1 cup white or brown sugar or to taste
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1 dash salt

(Heather notes: "I usually use a little less sugar and a little more spice...And I also add some vanilla.")

Directions:

Combine all until smooth and place mixture in small hallowed out pumpkin. Chill well. Place pumpkin on serving plate and surround with ginger snap cookies or slices of gingerbread, graham crackers or fresh fruit. May also be used as a sandwich filling.

serves/makes 8


...Now, while I can't imagine it as a sandwich filling, personally, I absolutely believe this recipe should be called Date Night in a Bowl. :) It is REALLY REALLY ZOMG GOOD and you should all go make it right now.

plant intervention?

Yeah, I still need one.

I've been doing SO WELL...but then someone showed up at the greenhouse today with a HUGE rubber plant they needed to get rid of, and the boss didn't want it, and I was asked if *I* did, and I didn't but..but..homeless plant! So sad.

So now I have a rather ridiculously large rubber plant in my hearse that needs a home. Preferably not mine.

Dear lord, I hope someone on Freecycle wants it..
