kitties

So I have been camped out on a friend's sofa for the past...three nights now.

Today, there was a youngish red tabby hiding under his house steps.

Said kitty was very loudly complaining about something, and when I talked to him he came bounding out looking for love.

Very cute.
Wicked damn cute.
Let me hold him and snuggle him and...***melt***.
BUT.
He has a collar.
So.
He is not going home with me.

In Other News, I have neglected to mention that Lurk is apparently trying to find secret passageways in my house. For a few weeks now, I have caught him randomly standing on his hind feet and pressing his front paws against varied sections of paneling. There is no chance at all he's chasing critters in the walls - there are no sounds, he's not digging, he's not doing the 'I must squeak because I am a Fierce! Hunter!' thing. He's just standing up, pressing his feet against the wall, and then moving on.

If I had cable, I'd suspect he'd just watched Clue. As it is, perhaps I need to not watch quite so many old horror movies that include secret passageways as part of their plots...
