Well...we talked..

..and there was no yelling, no forbidding..just one rough negative ("Don't bring anything home.") that he quickly took back.

He was pretty good, really. He said he felt I was putting myself into a bad situation because I was too trusting, but that it was my decision.

Then he said he trusts me, but admitted that he knew I have a hard time trusting him to not overreact to things.

I think it was overall a pretty good talk.

And dinner with Beth the Eternally Hot afterwards helped.

So..I'm going to Chicago! YAY!

(Side note about the music playing: Is it possible to fall completely in love with just a voice? The singer who did the part of the Diva in "The Fifth Element" - I always forget her name...I tell you, I fell completely and passionately in love with her voice the first time I heard her sing. Even with the electronic tweaking for this piece...*whuf*.

Yeah, I sat there in the audience at the movie, all but shaking, hands clasped, all tense until the last note... Sometimes Jason must be sure I'm quite insane...!)

And on the work front..

..I had another FTP meeting today. Which was cool.

Someone else came up to me and said, "I'm SO GLAD you're involved in the FTP work!" Which made me feel good.

I have a meeting with 3 managers tomorrow. Eep. I'm apparently running this meeting, which wasn't what I was originally told...wish me luck...I could look really silly. :/

Beth the Eternally Hot tells me she's going for a job in the big cat house at the zoo, so will put my resume in at the bird house both for the job she's leaving as well as another opening. She said, "Just lie and say you like birds!" "But...I *do* like birds.." "Oh! Then you'll be fine!"

Here's hoping. It would be SO SWEET to go to work at the zoo...I'm almost afraid to hope.

Jason gave me a surprise compliment at dinner. He said that one of the VPs at the museum said that he thinks of me as (get this) "Supergirl" because I can cover so many jobs within the museum if need be. He then said, "If you [Jason] and Dusti are both working on a given day, I have no worries at *all* about the museum...between the two of you, you can handly ANY problem."

Just nice to get attaboys.
