Because I might as well not try to recreate the wheel here...
I'm attempting to dig up info about a trial that took place in Massachusetts between 1976 and 1977 - verdict declared January 17, 1977.
Because the FBI was involved, I'm not sure if this is a government case...this is a woman, Susan E. Saxe, who was tried by Massachusetts Superior Court Chief Justice Walter H. McLaughlin.
What I really want are court transcripts. I know there were two court cases - the first ended in a hung jury - so of course I want EVERYTHING, but I'm not sure where to begin.
(Some info here.
I also very much want access to some of the political newspapers published in Philadelphia in the 1970's - I may have a lead on that, but does anyone know if the Philadelphia public library might have local periodicals in their collection? Also, Bostonians, is there a resource I could look into for political periodicals/articles from that same time period in your neck of the woods?
This is a case that has been presented as a clear cut bank robbery/manslaughter crime, but I want to know the whole story, which is not what I'm going to get in mainstream media. So any help I can get is very very much appreciated!
