Zookeeper Tales: Pornchilla

elionwyrAs Scooter started to demonstrate his male virility more and more to anyone that would pay attention, I received an unexpected email from my mother. Attached was a photograph of not-so-little Scooter enthusiastically…ummm…let’s say he was overgrooming his manhood.
I’ve never seen anything like this (though a quick look around the Intarwebz shows the practice has been rather thoroughly documented). And so of course I had to share the picture immediately with my then-husband and my housemate.
Jason’s reaction: “Why is there a pornchilla on my computer?”
David...well, he didn’t say much at the time. Later, however, he walked into the mini zoo where he also worked, and found a gaggle of women surrounding a chinchilla’s cage.
“What’s going on?”
“What the heck is he DOING?”
“Oh. He’s masturbating.”
“How do you KNOW that?”
“Well..I have this picture on my comp..u…ter…Oh, crap.”
And thusly did my attempt to educate my housemate and coworker result in my near-death.

The guys mentioned to her that they'd gotten an image stuck on their computer desktop and couldn't delete it. They added it was fairly explicitly pornographic. She declined to look at it. Then the guys asked me if I wanted to look at it.
I said "I had better not want to look at that."
Everyone cracked up.
