Operation Freefall
Details forthcoming, but the quote of the day came just after the freefall portion of my jump ended, when my instructor yelled into my ear, "I have had parapalegics do better jumps than you!"
I may need to have put on a t-shirt. Yes indeedy.
(Ironically, of the photos I have, only a few show me NOT in this legs-bent position, which..um..is what I believe was the position I was supposed to be in. Reasons for my looking to the side are forthcoming.)
(Photos of me vomiting are non-existent. For this, I am a very happy squirrel.)
However, my instructor landing on top of me after I twisted my ankle? Totally documented.
And here I am, holding up the wrong finger.
...No. No, really.
Summary: WOO I JUMPED! The actual jumping? Absolutely not a problem. I have apparently no problem with the idea of flinging myself from an airplane. There was a wild whoop of laughter, even!
Everything AFTER that? Yeeeeeah, not so good. So now I have to do it again to prove that I can do it well.

mewschangeling was AWESOME and FABULOUS and AMAZING and should make a career out of jumping from perfectly good airplanes.

How long did you have to wait until the winds died down enough to jump?
The puppy was very happy to see me when I got home to free her from the kitchen, and no she didn't leave me any presents.

I've been wanting to go skydiving for YEARS now, and my daughters made me promise to wait until they were grown.
The younger one turned 19 on Monday. I think I'm going to have to start planning this. :-D
